Application

Power generation and distribution utilities use reactors and resistors to earth the neutral of transformers and generators, thus limiting ground fault current.

An isolation device is necessary between equipment neutral and neutral earthing reactors for maintenance reasons.

In addition an optional bypass switch is also required to bypass the reactor and solidly earth the neutral of transformers or generators.

For safe operation of these switches, electro-mechanical interlocking is necessary to ensure these isolation and bypass switches are not operated if the transformer or generators are in energized condition.

Construction: Enclosures are constructed using angle/channel sections for framework and sheet steel fabricated covers.

The fabricated frames are hot dipped galvanized and powder coated.

Covers are made-up of 2/3mm sheet steel, which are fabricated using CNC and NC machines. These covers are then powder coated for surface protection.

The enclosure includes a suitable roof design to provide sun shading and run off of rainwater.
